Terms and Conditions

1.      Introduction

1.1    These terms and conditions shall govern your use of our company.

1.2    By purchasing from our Company, you accept these terms and conditions in full.

1.3    If you disagree with any part of our terms and conditions you must notify us in writing before making a purchase.

PRICES

Costs quoted kept to whenever possible. We do however, reserve the right to pass on price increases to our customers without notice. We aim to  maintain our prices as up to date as possible. Errors and omissions excepted, in Pounds Sterling (£) and subject to carriage

EXCHANGE ITEMS

Exchange items are where we supply a part that we expect a core old unit of refurbishable quality back. If the Exchange item is not returned within a period of two weeks of the orginal order, we reserve the right to surcharge for non return at the full cost of the refurbished item already supplied. Upon return of exchange item a receipt can be given upon request.

TERMS

We accept Credit Card Debit Card, Bank transfer, Cheque and Cash payments. Credit or Debit info will not be shown on the invoice. We do not issue refunds for special order items ordered in error we will however issue a credit note at our discretion. Any balance due should be settled within ten working days of the goods being ordered. We reserve the right to charge interest on outstanding accounts, at a rate in excess of current bank rates. Cheques and bank drafts should be made payable to “Sunbeam-Talbot Spares”.

CREDIT CARDS

We accept Visa, Delta, Switch and Mastercard , subject to conditions.

GUARANTEE

We will replace or refund the full price paid for any parts, provided that they are returned to us immediately in an undamaged state as supplied. Tampering with goods will invalidate your guarantee. The only exemptions are if we have provided the wrong goods to your order, or they are in some way faulty, in which case your rights under the Sales of Goods act should be adhered to. We endeavour all all times to comply to the Trade Descriptions Act and Sales of Goods Act by giving accurate descriptions of the goods offered for sale and that they are fit for purpose and of merchantable quality.

Should any customers feel that there are any misrepresentations, would they please advise us so that we may amend the description.

LIABILITY

We accept liability only for items which are proved faulty by reason of our negligence within six months of purchase. Such liability is limited to the price paid for the item and does not include any consequential loss.If you feel we are liable you must follow the Sales of Goods Act (I.E. give us oppportunity to repair or replace).

ORDERING

The use of original numbers does not indicate supply of original parts. We reserve the right to supply pattern/remanufactured parts as necessary. it is the purchaser’s responsibility to ensure and check that parts supplied are suitable for the vehicle and use intended by them, and the supplier gives no warranty express or implied of suitability.

DELIVERY

We endeavour to supply all orders by return but, occasionally, some items will not be ex-stock and will be marked ‘to follow’ on the invoice and will be dispatched immediately new stock arrives.

FAULTY OR DAMAGED ITEMS

We must be notified on receipt of goods. If goods sent by carrier sign “damaged” if apparent. A claim submitted if goods are received and endorsed “not checked”, “unexamined” or different words of the same effect on the Delivery Note are not adequate in case of claim.

RIGHT TO CANCEL

(Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Directive 97/7/EC). The right to cancel allows you time to examine the goods. The cooling off period starts when the contract is concluded and ends 7 working days after the day the goods are received. The right to cancel does not apply to rubbers, materials which have been cut off rolls, number plates or any other item made to special order.

When customers exercise the right to cancel they are under a duty to take reasonable care of the goods and to return them to us in the condition they were supplied. It shall be the responsibility of the customer to cover return postage costs. It is advised that returned items be sent via recorded mail as we cannot be responsible for lost items.

 Order cancellations must be submitted to us in writing – email, fax or letter.

CARRIAGE – ALL PRICES SHOWN ARE CARRIAGE EXTRA.

UK

We have a minimum postage/packing cost of £4.95 per order. We despatch  by first class signed for or any other premium postage service. If you request a budget postage service, we will not cover any costs incurred due to loss or damag.

OVERSEAS

We are restricted by postal services criteria for some despatches of goods over 1 metre long, depending on country. We despatch goods less than 2kg weight by small packet, larger consignments are sent by parcel mail or road carrier into Europe. Costs are dependent on weight of order, length of order and country of destination. Please specify whether you require air or sea despatch of packages/parcels. Other means of freight are available subject to negotiation.
